DREAM GROUP

AWAKENING THE SYMBOLIC LIFE

6-Week Jungian Dream Group

Join an experiential depth-psychology group exploring dreams as pathways to the unconscious, the archetypal field, and thus a deeper knowing of oneself.

OVERVIEW

Dreams are living communications from the psyche. In the Jungian tradition, dreams reveal the symbolic life unfolding beneath waking consciousness: conflicts and complexes, emerging potentials, archetypal patterns, and the psyche’s own movement toward meaning and wholeness.

Our six-week Jungian Dream Group offers a guided, clinically grounded, and experiential exploration of dreams using depth-psychological methods. Participants will learn how to work symbolically with their own dreams while deepening their understanding of the unconscious, archetypes, and the process of individuation. Upon request, there are opportunities for extended or tailored groups—more theoretical or more experiential.

Groups are suitable for clinicians, students, and individuals with a psychological orientation who seek an intimate engagement with dream material. No prior experience with Jungian dream work is required, though familiarity with psychological language is helpful.

EXPLORATION

Across six weeks, we will work with participants’ dreams using core Jungian approaches, including:

  • The nature and function of dreams in analytical psychology

  • Symbol and image as expressions of the unconscious

  • Complexes and compensatory dream activity

  • Archetypal motifs and mythic amplification

  • The ego–Self relationship as revealed through dreams

  • The role of dreams in individuation

FORMAT

Each session will include:

  • Brief theoretical framing grounded in Jungian thought

  • Presentation of one or two participants' dreams

  • Group amplification and symbolic exploration

  • Clinical and analytical reflections

  • Space for personal integration and questions

Groups emphasize respectful listening, symbolic imagination, and depth rather than interpretation driven by technique alone.
